Why I Became A Podiatrist
Dr. Neal truly believes in the need for physicians to volunteer their time and talents. She has been involved in different mission trips throughout the years with the most recent in 2017 where she traveled to Ecuador, assessed patients with foot problems, and performed surgical procedures. In the past she worked with the Baja Crippled Children’s Project, Liga International and the Flying Doctors of Mercy in rural Mexico.

Dr. Toni Jo Neal
My Podiatric Background
Dr. Toni Jo Neal is a native of Menasha Wisconsin. She completed her undergraduate studies at UW-Oshkosh receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Cellular Biology. She attended Des Moines University (formerly University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences) she received her Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine. She also has a Masters in Healthcare Administration and is certified in Prevention of Diabetic Foot Wounds and Limb Salvage.
Dr. Neal is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Physicians in foot and ankle surgery. She completed her surgical residency at the Jerry L. Pettis Veterans Hospital in Loma Linda, California. In her three years in California she performed over 1500 surgeries specializing in diabetes and complex reconstruction of the foot. Dr. Neal also performs wound care, limb salvage procedures, as well as bunion, hammertoes, and all other podiatric procedures.
Dr. Kelly Thiel
I have been a member of the Neal Foot and Ankle Center family for the last four years providing preventative, routine, and wound care of the lower extremities to our patients. As of 2017, I obtained my Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. I am board certified as an Adult Gerontology Nurse Practitioner. My involvement includes participation in the American Foot Care Nurses Association, The American College of Clinical Wound Specialists, National Association of Orthopedic Nurses, and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
As a lifelong resident of the Appleton area, I enjoy providing care to the Fox Valley community. My goal is to work together with my patients and their families to improve their quality of living.
